The story of MarineTraffic Group began in 2016 when Johnrich Yabba entered the logistics industry immediately after completing his studies at the Institute of Tax Administration.
His first opportunity came through The Edge Logistics Tanzania Limited under the leadership of Lungaisa Ally Omary, who became not only a mentor, but also a trusted elder brother and lifelong friend. Through his guidance, Johnrich learned customs clearance, freight forwarding, port operations and professional leadership.
each chapter adding valuable experience in trade facilitation, logistics management, compliance and entrepreneurship.
Today, MarineTraffic Group stands as a reflection of those experiences, relationships and lessons learned throughout a decade of dedication to Tanzania's logistics industry.

MarineTraffic Group was built upon years of practical experience, mentorship and professional growth within Tanzania's customs clearance and logistics industry.
The journey began in 2016 following completion of studies at the Institute of Tax Administration. The first professional opportunity came through The Edge Logistics Tanzania under the leadership of Lungaisa Ally Omary, who became not only a mentor but also an elder brother, trusted advisor and lifelong friend.
Through his guidance, valuable experience was gained in customs clearance, freight forwarding, declaration processes, cargo operations and client service excellence. His belief in developing young talent became one of the strongest foundations behind the future vision of MarineTraffic Group.
The next chapter of growth continued at Devex Africa under the leadership of Lambaji Madai. This period strengthened understanding of governance, compliance, accountability and professional business management.
A further milestone came through working alongside Stanford Mora, first at Devex Africa and later at Abstan Logistics Limited. His entrepreneurial mindset, strategic thinking and exceptional financial discipline provided invaluable lessons in business leadership and sustainable growth.
The combined influence of Lungaisa Ally Omary, Lambaji Madai and Stanford Mora helped shape the principles, culture and long-term vision that eventually led to the establishment of MarineTraffic Group.
Today, MarineTraffic Group continues to support importers, exporters, manufacturers, project cargo operators and international businesses through customs clearance, freight forwarding, transportation and trade compliance solutions across Tanzania and East Africa.
